September Field Trip: Challenge Course at South Bellevue Community Center
Date: Friday, September 21, 2018
Cost: 8th grade: included in graduation activity fee
6th and 7th grade: $35
Everyone: Bring sack lunch
Dear Middle School families,
Each fall, we start the school year with a field trip to the South Bellevue Community Center for a middle school team building experience on the ropes challenge course.
6th and 7th graders will be led through activities on the low ropes course while the 8th graders will be challenging themselves on the high ropes course.
Our trip is scheduled for Friday, September 21. We will leave school by 8:45 a.m. and return by 3 p.m. Each student needs to bring a snack and a sack lunch and wear clothing appropriate for the weather and the activities and that also meets the requirements for a free dress day as outlined in the student handbook.
Each student must have a signed permission slip and waiver form. These will come home in the August mailing. Please return these by the first day of school. You can return them earlier by dropping them off at the school office during business hours.
The cost for 6th and 7th grade students is $TBA. Please include the fee with the permission slip and waiver. Please contact the school office or your student’s homeroom teacher if finances are an issue.
For 8th graders, the fee is included in the special 8th grade graduation activity fee. This fee is due in early May 2019 but may be paid anytime before that. Look for a separate letter concerning this and other graduation details.
We are looking for parents who would like to drive and/or serve as chaperones. Please note that chaperones will not be participating in the activities with the students. If you wish to volunteer, please check the box on the permission slip. In addition, please stop by the office and make sure you have a background check on file, as well as a proof of insurance form on file. When both of these are in place, we’ll be ready to go!
