Newsletter 4/3/19

Dear families,

Attached is the newsletter and flyers from today’s Thursday packet.
1.  Saturday is our annual Gala. I hope to see many of you at the event.  This evening raises important funds for the parish and school that bridge the gap between tuition and what it costs to educate your children.  If you cannot attend, consider sending in a donation in support.
2.  During this Lenten season, your students have had many opportunities to grow.  They have kept Lenten Journals focusing on gratitude.  Each week, they pray the Stations of the Cross and on Good Friday, the 8th graders will be the leaders of the Stations for the parish at the noon service.  They have been working on earning their 30 pieces of silver that will be brought to Mass on April 17 and they have been learning about the important work that Catholic Relief Services do throughout the world and how they can support CRS through the Lenten Rice Bowl.
3.  You student may have told you that they have less than 50 days of school left in 8th grade.  However, the work is not done and you can encourage your students to stay focused as we complete the 8th grade curriculum.  As a reminder, during this trimester, students must turn in work no later than 3 days after the due date.  Later assignments will not be accepted unless the student is on a Student Support Plan and has arranged in advance for more time.
4.  The musical rehearsals are in full swing and the production crews are hard at work on posters, tickets and newsletters.  Tickets will go on sale soon.  Watch the Thursday packet next week for more information.
Have a great weekend.
